Our New Kingsnake

Yesterday we celebrated Valentine's Day by going to a reptile show. I know...how romantic! We found this little kingsnake and I had to have him. His name is King Louis. He is only about 9 inches long. We now have 5 snakes.

Bailey's 11th Birthday

On Tuesday, February 10th we celebrated Bailey's 11th Birthday. She chose cupcakes instead of the donut cake...she has to be different. It's hard to believe that she is 11. Time sure goes by fast. We are thankful for the great girl she is and are very happy she is part of our family. We love you Tallu!

Vinnie Has A Birthday

Happy 34th Birthday Vinnie. We love you! Vinnie asked for the traditional donut cake and I thought it would be funny to put pink candles on it. He didn't seem to mind much.

Lola Learns To Ride

Theses pictures were from a couple of weeks ago. Vinnie has been working with Lola for quite a while and she can finally ride her bike without training-wheels.

Lola's New Haircut

Today was the last straw! Our ward now starts at 9:00am and as always it took entirely too long to comb through all of Lola's knots. Lola must toss and turn all night to create such a rats nest. Even shampooing and conditioning her hair doesn't help. Lola wanted to grow her hair as long as The Little Mermaid's, but today we convinced her to chop it off. She finally agreed and she absolutely loves it! Thank goodness! I hope the cut looks OK...I'm too cheap to pay for a professional.

Lola Turns 6

Lola turned 6 on January 8. She decided to take the $100 instead of having a party and had her best friend, Leah, over for cake. The kids are allowed to choose any kind of cake and of course Lola chose our traditional giant donut cake. That seems to be their favorite.

Snake Obsession!

So, its true what they say about it being impossible to own just one snake. We now own four and we'll probably end up with more. This is our new snake, Eve. She is a Western Hognose. I wanted a snake that looked more menacing then the snakes we have and she is just what I was looking for. She resembles a rattle snake with her coloring and rough scales minus the rattle and the lethal venom. She is venomous, but her venom is equivalent to a wasp sting and her fangs are in the back of her mouth. She's cute!

Merry Christmas

Every Christmas Eve we visit the Mesa Temple to remember the true meaning of Christmas and enjoy beautiful lights. Here are just a few pictures from our night. Merry Christmas to all our family and friends! We miss you and wish we could be together.

Bailey's Song

Bailey has really been into the presidential election this year. Tonight while she washed dishes I overheard her singing a song she made up. This is how it goes:
Be smart, don't be dumb
Be smart and have some fun
Be smart and use your brain
Vote for John McCain!

I couldn't stop laughing.
