Lola loves to hear the story about the day she was born. When pregnant with Lola I was scheduled to have a C-section on Friday, January 10, 2003. On Wednesday, January 8th, I was on my way to my last doctors appointment and was in a car accident. Luckily no one else was in the car. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital. The accident put me into labor and thus Lola was born on January 8th. Lola always likes to bring up how she was in a car accident with mom. I guess it's something special to her that we share together.
Today I overheard Lola having a conversation with her My Little Ponies. She was explaining to them "You're born, you live, and you die. You get married, get in a car accident, and have a baby." I think it's funny how she thinks getting in a car wreck is part of the process of having a child. As for the born, live, and die part she said she learned it from Todd. Todd informed me he heard it from the movie Click.

How funny! Lola is so cute.
That is so cute! It's funny how kids take the stories they hear and the bits and pieces they learn and use them to shape their own unique view of the world. It's also a little scary, since we are in charge of most of the information input!
