Progress on House

Today the kids and I went to the house to see what had been done during the week. We look forward to the weekends because there is bound to be something new done to the property. The plumbing is finished and the dirt is back into place. I was told by Stephanie (the lady in the office) the slab will be poured on Monday. It's almost framing time!

Stephanie also told me about the nice neighbors that will be moving in around the same time we do. She's not just saying that either because she also lives in that neighborhood and I consider her a reliable friend. It's nice to know we will have good people around us. We already met one of our neighbors and he was not shy about introducing himself while we were at our lot late one night. Really nice guy!

Lola's Story

Lola loves to hear the story about the day she was born. When pregnant with Lola I was scheduled to have a C-section on Friday, January 10, 2003. On Wednesday, January 8th, I was on my way to my last doctors appointment and was in a car accident. Luckily no one else was in the car. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital. The accident put me into labor and thus Lola was born on January 8th. Lola always likes to bring up how she was in a car accident with mom. I guess it's something special to her that we share together.

Today I overheard Lola having a conversation with her My Little Ponies. She was explaining to them "You're born, you live, and you die. You get married, get in a car accident, and have a baby." I think it's funny how she thinks getting in a car wreck is part of the process of having a child. As for the born, live, and die part she said she learned it from Todd. Todd informed me he heard it from the movie Click.

Last Day of School

Here are pictures of Bailey and Todd this morning before school. Today is their last day. Our plans for summer vacation include taking a trip to Yellowstone at the end of June. Then the children will spend a few weeks with my parents in California before starting school on July 28th. Vinnie and I will be kid free for those weeks. What will we do with ourselves!!!

You can see our church building behind our lot. We will be able to walk to church.

The footers for our house are done and they have dug out where the plumbing will go. After all the pipes go in they will pour the foundation. Framing should start in the next couple of weeks and should only take three days. We will be able to move into our new home in about 4 to 5 months. We can't wait!!!

Gone Fishing

Our family decided to try fishing for the first time. We didn't catch any fish, but we still had a good time. We do plan on another fishing trip soon, so maybe we'll have better luck next time. I was amazed that the girls were not afraid of touching the worms and cutting them to put them on their hooks. Bailey actually liked playing with them. Lola had fun feeding the ducks that swam by and Todd had fun just being his talkative self. He always has so much to say.

The kids love to jump on the trampoline and Vinnie loves to get pictures of them in action.

Being a Wolf Den Assistant Leader of 12 Cub Scouts is quite a difference from growing up with five sisters. It took some time to adjust, but I've got the hang of it now. I really enjoy my calling.

Todd has worked hard in Cub Scouts and tonight he received his Wolf Badge. A ritual the boys look forward to when they earn their badge is to fish a Ziploc bag containing their Wolf patch from under a pile of whipped cream in a pie tin. While this goes on the audience chants... Wolf! Wolf! Wolf! until the patch is retrieved. Todd really enjoyed all that whipped cream. Good job buddy! We are so proud of you.

Vincent and Nora's Family

Vinnie and I started our family when we married on March 21,1997. It quickly grew with our first child being born less then a year later. We have three wonderful children who we love dearly. They are absolutely the best in the world!!!

Bailey Tallula is 10 and our oldest child. She is very trendy and loves clothes. She loves to dance, sing, read, shop, and hang out with mom. She is a big helper in our family and does a lot of baby sitting. She is also an A+ student and teachers pet.

Todd Forest is 8 almost 9. He loves church and hopes he can one day be the prophet. His hero is Joseph Smith and he can't get enough of Family Home Evening. Todd also likes to read, draw, jump on the trampoline, watch movies, and play video games. He is a very sweet boy.

Lola Rose is 5 and is looking forward to starting Kindergarten in July. She is our last baby and is surely spoiled. Definitely daddies little girl. She loves to do what ever the other two are doing and knows how to push their buttons. She likes to jump rope, jump on the trampoline, draw, play in the dollhouse, play the Wii and on the computer, and watch movies. She is also sitting right next to me as a write to make sure I don't miss a thing about her.

Vinnie works for Cricket Communications by day and Lowes by night while I go to school. He is a great dad and our family appreciates all his sacrifices on our behalf. He loves to race remote control cars, cook (his new thing is smoking meat), and do home improvements since working at Lowes. He also loves photography and hopes to one day own a really expensive camera with all the equipment imaginable. One day honey...when I start working.

I stay home with the children and I'm currently going to school to become a registered nurse. So far so good! I have started slowly with school due to the children, but I will be able to jump in fully since Lola will be in school all day. I am very crafty and do almost everything. I crochet, do wood working, sew, cross stitch, and build dollhouses just to name a few hobbies. I have finished two dollhouses and I'm currently working on three more. I am also refinishing all our furniture. I guess you could say I have too much time on my hands.

We live in sunny and sometimes too hot Arizona, but we love it here! We are currently building a bigger house that should be finished in September or beginning of October. I am very excited and have a long list of what I want to do to the house when we move in. Stay tuned for more info and pictures of our new home.

Our family is completely blessed. I am so grateful for all that we have. I can truly say that I see the Lords hand in my life daily. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have a strong testimony. I am thankful our family knows the plan of salvation and knows we can be together forever. Yes, we are blessed!
